Rev Ruth Halley

On Sunday 30 May we said farewell to Rev Ruth Halley at morning worship in both Gullane and Aberlady churches.  Ruth has been our locum minister and Interim Moderator since Brian Hilsley’s retirement last year and is now moving on to a new role at Greyfriars Kirk in Edinburgh.  Ruth was thanked very much for the work that she has put in with both Sessions and congregations and presented with flowers and a card that was hand made by the children in JAM Club.  At Aberlady the congregation presented her with flowers, gift token and card. We wish her all the very best in her new job.

Lothian Presbytery have appointed Rev Robin Allison as our new Interim Moderator.  Robin is the minister at Chalmers Memorial Church, Cockenzie and Port Seton.  Aberlady and Gullane Kirk Sessions have both approved the appointment of Rev Fred Harrison as our locum minister.  We look forward to working with Fred and Robin over coming weeks and months.
